1. Introduction

Welcome to Dance in the Wild. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website services.

2. Information We Collect

- Account Information: We collect your name and email address when you register as an Organizer.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect event location data to facilitate the interactive map features.
- Media Library: With your permission, we may access your media library to allow event organizers to upload and sync audio tracks.
- Usage Data: We may collect diagnostic telemetry simply for ensuring audio sync precision.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is strictly used to facilitate the synchronization of music experiences. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Location data is exclusively used for mapping event coordinates. Microphone/Media permissions are strictly used dynamically during live events.

4. Data Protection

We implement standard security measures to protect the integrity of your account and event data. However, no internet transmission is entirely secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as it is needed to provide the service to you:
- Account information (name, email) and your event, playlist, song, and location data are retained for as long as your account remains active.
- Inactive accounts are deleted automatically. If you do not use the app for 25 months, your account and its associated personal data are automatically and permanently deleted.
- When you delete your account yourself, this data is removed immediately and permanently (see Section 6).
- Payment and transaction records: when your account is deleted, we remove your records from our own systems. Limited transaction records required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations are retained by our payment processor, Stripe, in accordance with Stripe's own retention policies, and contain no login or profile information.

6. How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your account and its associated data at any time, directly within the app:
- Open the app and go to your Dashboard menu, then tap "Delete Account" and confirm.
- This immediately and permanently deletes your account along with your saved locations, events, playlists, songs, and tags. This action cannot be undone.

If you are unable to access the app, you can also request deletion by emailing us at support@danceinthewild.com from the email address linked to your account. We may retain a limited subset of data where we are legally required to do so (for example, payment and transaction records as described in Section 5).

7. Cookies & Analytics (Website)

Our website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (such as pages visited and features used) that help us improve Dance in the Wild. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit — if you decline, no analytics cookies are used. Your choice is remembered and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your personal data.
